Coffee with a Cop September 12, 2026

Saturday's Coffee with a Cop event was a success! We were told the officers had never done an outdoor Coffee with a Cop event. Needless to say, we were very grateful for the shade of the pergola. We estimate we had approximately 30 people attending with about 9 of those being officers. We are grateful to Mayor Babick and his wife Peggy, Kevin Falconer, and City Council members Jason Carpenter, Rowena Watters, and Daisy Palomo and her husband for attending. Rev. Rodney and Susan from Aldersgate United Methodist Church (AUMC) were also in attendance. Blanca Oliver, Justice of the Peace, came over from her duties at the Metrocrest Teaching Garden to join us. It was good to see Ransom Funches and his wife Olga. Giving Gardeners attending were Laura, Lisa, Nancy, Doug, Bill, Misty, and Irby. We gave several tours of the garden, and everyone said they learned so much and were so impressed with our efforts and mission. We proudly support the Carrollton police department and applaud their dedication to keeping our community safe.
